June 2009: "Ecoguard First iin Series of Fluorine-Free Chemguard Products” (page 9 online or 7 in the print version) reports the launch of the first (and only) fluorine-free, UL Listed foam for topside and sprinkler applications.
September 2009: The cover story, “Using CAFS to Control and Extinguish Coal Mine Fires" (pages 25-30 online or 23-28 in the print version), describes the use of Chemguard’s non-corrosive, nontoxic, and biodegradable EXTREME Class A foam concentrate for coal mine fires and other deep-seated fires.
September 2009: The “Fire Fighting Foam Coalition” article (page 18 online or 16 in the print version) lists Chemguard as a member of the coalition board of directors.
Dover Air Force Base (Delaware)
August 19, 2009: The news story “Environmental-Friendly Equipment Tested at Dover” details the “outstanding” test of a Chemguard high-expansion foam system in Hangar 945 (six 25,000 water-powered foam generators and a six-inch proportioner) and links to a dramatic video.

August 2009: A feature story on the July 2009 Reebok Foam Seminar, “Thinking About Bubbles” (pages 34-35), summarizes the Reebok presentation by Chemguard Director of Chemical Technology Thomas Martin, Ph.D., “Ecoguard Fluorine-Free Fire-Fighting Foam.”
October 2, 2009: "US District Court Grants Chemguard an Injunction with Respect to US Foam Technologies' use of Chemguard's UL Identifier" reports court action in favor of Chemguard related to mislabeled product. (The court injunction action affects only products with the US Foam label. There is no recall of any products carrying the Chemguard label. All Chemguard-labeled products are 100% acceptable, without exception.)
October 30, 2009: The news story "Dropping Cooling Guardians" discusses the breakthrough in combating wildfires achieved with Caylym Technologies' Precision Container Aircraft Delivery System (PCADS), which utilizes Chemguard FirstClass foam concentrate. Chemguard's Matt Boyle explains the advantages of this
non-corrosive, non-toxic, biodegradable, USDA forest approved foam concentrate.

August 24, 2009: The announcement of the 2009 top 100 private companies in Tarrant County includes Chemguard as number 68.

April 30, 2009: The news story, “New Accurate Mobile Proportioning Unit Runs on Water Pressure,” describes a rugged new mobile foam
trailer -- operated entirely by the incoming water supply -- that was launched by Chemguard and FireDos at the February Industrial Fire Safety exhibition in Houston.
June 10, 2009: "Chemguard’s New Foam is Fluorine-Free and UL-Listed" announces the introduction of Ecoguard , the first and only UL Listed fluorine-free foam for multiple applications.

May-June 2009: A feature story on using compressed-air foam systems (CAFS) to bring a coal mine fire under control, "Penetrating the Darkness," describes Chemguard biodegradable EXTREME Class A foam, which was formulated specifically for CAFS applications.

September 2009: The New Products section notes the launch of Chemguard’s short-chain (C6) phosphate-ester product line, “Phosphate-Ester Anionic Fluorosurfactants” (page 45).
2008
Fort Worth Business Press
August 25, 2008: “Chemguard Branches Out” charts the 25-year growth of Chemguard into a global manufacturer of firefighting foams, foam systems, and specialty chemicals. The news story accompanied the release of the Fort Worth Business Press 2008 top 100 private companies in Tarrant County (Texas), which Chemguard joined in position 78.
2007
Fire Chief
July 1, 2007: "CFD, UL Tests Combine Science, Street" describes a Chicago Fire Department/UL test of water versus a foam/water mixture in suppressing a residential fire. The foam/water mixture – using Chemguard Class A foam concentrate – not only knocked the fire down more quickly than water, it also prevented reignition.

May-June, 2007: Chemguard ULTRAGUARD 3%x3% alcohol-resistant aqueous film-forming foam (AR-AFFF) performed almost perfectly on aspirated, semi-aspirated, and system nozzles LASTFIRE tests with both tap water and synthetic sea water, under extremely high ambient temperatures, as described in “Product Perfect: Chemguard Brings LASTFIRE Testing to U.S.”
